From across the universe aliens, droids, dark lords and even time travelling doctors will come in peace and gather at the Neutral Zone known as ArtBoy Gallery in celebration of things Sci-Fi !
Artists from around the country and as far as France and Saudi Arabia have put aside their SW vs Trekker differences and have created outstanding fan art for the common good of the FanBoy Republic.

J'AVAIS DÉBUTÉ CETTE TOILE IL Y A QUELQUES MOIS À LA MANIÈRE D'UNE ICÔNE MAIS VOILÀ QUE LE DÉCÉS DE STEVE JOBS M'A REMIS AU TRAVAIL POUR POUVOIR LA PRÉSENTER AUJOURD'HUI MAIS CETTE FOIS-CI C'EST DEVENU NATURELLEMENT UN HOMMAGE.

Festival Tresques contemporain du 2,3 et 4 septembre
Extrait de l'article paru dans le Blog du Midi-Libre au sujet du festival:
Pour ce week-end, le temps, hélas, ne fut pas de la partie, notamment le dimanche où il a bien plu une grosse partie de la matinée, empêchant probablement la visite de plus de festivaliers. Sans parler de l’annulation des spectacles extérieurs et du manque à gagner certain pour les artistes venus exposer. Car n’oublions pas que certains exposaient dehors.
Cependant, à défaut de pièces de théâtre, des sketches interprétés par la compagnie Karambole ont pu être joués dimanche en fin de matinée à la salle des fêtes communale.
Retenons toutefois de ce premier week-end de septembre la qualité et la variété des œuvres proposées. Si le festival précédent s’était révélé assez expressionniste, cette année d’autres courants de l’art contemporain ont été représentés, tel l’abstrait, le cubisme voire le pop art.
Aux artistes présents lors de la première édition, Gilles Barp, les expressionnistes Elyane Arnal et Catherine Duchêne, le plasticien Aloi Aka et l’ébéniste d’art Loïc Mèze, de nombreux autres artistes, très talentueux et parfois venus de loin, se sont greffés à ce festival et nous ont exposé leur univers toujours original.
Ainsi citons entre autres pour les peintres, mais la liste n’est bien entendu pas exhaustive, Stéphane Dubois, Denise Eyer-Oggier, Murielle Ouarab, Christophe Villedary, Alastair Magnaldo ou Perrine Gaspard. Dans leur univers « coloré », mentionnons Dak, Sophie Rived, Nathalie Hertwig-Gillet, Frédéric Truteau ou Olivier Agier.
Mais ce festival ne fut pas uniquement cantonné à l’art pictural. Ainsi, la sculpture métal a eu ses virtuoses avec Olivier Torchet, Edith Convert, Karl Hugo Mars, et Véronique Prenant.
Les arts plastiques, la marqueterie d’art, la sculpture en grès et la broderie ont également figuré en bonne place dans ce festival avec respectivement le provençal Georges Stolf, Bernard Tollet, Sandrine Sourdet et Elodie Sabardeil.
Et n’oublions pas les photographes Eddy Termini et Guy Humeau. A l’avenir, nous sommes persuadés qu’il y a aura une troisième édition de ce festival. Et souhaitons que la météo soit plus clémente qu’elle ne l’a été au cours ce premier week-end de septembre.

"THE VEGETIME" (memories from down under)
Il y a "Le Temps du rêve" ou "Dreamtime" qui est le thème central de la culture des aborigènes d'Australie.
Et il y a le "Vegetime" qui est un kaléidoscope d'images de mes souvenirs de voyage en Australie, ici mis en avant par un des produits emblématiques des petits déjeuners australiens qui nous indique immédiatement où nous emmène cette peinture, enfin pour ceux qui connaissent, évidemment !
